You may set the tone of any late notices the patient receives. There are 4 options:
§ Gentle – this provides mild messages that there is an outstanding balance
§ Normal – gives a clear message that there is an outstanding balance and it is time to pay it
§ Persistent – in very strong terms, gives a clear message that there is an outstanding balance
§ None - prevents the system from sending a late notice to the patient. This is appropriate for Medicaid patients that the law forbids billing them.
