The Find and Replace function provides the ability to [1] catch and fix spelling errors automatically and [2] replace specific words with one deemed more appropriate. Clicking on Find and Replace (figure 6) enables the ability to make global substitutions to the system generated wording of SOAP notes.
To enter a substitution, click the New button to place the cursor in the box under Find and enter the word that should be replaced; then click in the box under Replace and enter the new word that will substitute for the one in the Find column.
To stop the Find and Replace function, click on the line of the item to stop and then click the Delete button.
Click Close when finished with this screen. Substitutions entered on this screen will apply to any new notes that are generated.

Any changes made will be saved upon closing the box.
