This is where the Categories of the SOAP Notes are created. Although not required, it is advisable to categorize the SOAP notes in order to locate specific items quickly and easily.
Click on Categories to Add, Edit, and/or Delete items from the list. A drop down box with this list appears in the Documents window. The Categories box (figure 5) follows the same format as the Initials box discussed above.

To add Categories, click the Add button next to the yellow plus (+) symbol. A box will open in which the name of the Category is typed in. Click OK after typing and the Category will appear in the box. Then click the Close button.
In the event that the Categories need to be edited, click the Edit button, make the necessary changes, click OK and close.
If there is ever a reason to remove a Category from the system, click on the one to be removed and then click the Delete button.
Any changes made will be saved upon closing the box.
